Project Kick-off

At the outset, I engage clients in a comprehensive discussion to understand their vision, objectives, and preferences. This phase lays the foundation for a tailored design, where we delve into the functional requirements and aesthetic aspirations of the project.

Moodboard & First Iterations

Crafting a visual narrative, I develop a moodboard that encapsulates the design direction. Initial iterations incorporate client feedback, refining the concept into a cohesive blueprint that aligns with their tastes and the project’s objectives.

Feedback & Subsequent Iterations

Client input is paramount. I actively seek feedback on design proposals, facilitating an iterative process that hones in on the perfect balance between client vision and my design expertise. This collaborative approach ensures the final design surpasses expectations.

Project Implementation

With a finalized design in hand, I orchestrate the implementation of the project. Coordinating with artisans and suppliers, I oversee the execution, ensuring every detail aligns with the approved design. This phase culminates in the realization of the envisioned space.

Professional Experience

PROGRAM DELIVERY MANAGER – ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION, MINING CLIENT
Program Delivery Manager for an ERP replacement at an operating mine site using a composite ERP system that included Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) integrated with a procurement and supplier collaboration system, a financial system and additional corporate systems using an integration engine. Managed a team of over 200 employees, partners, and contractors in the design, build and testing of the integrated system, using a SAFE agile approach, and its implementation to replace a 25-year-old legacy system.
EXECUTIVE SPONSOR – ENTERPRISE SYSTEM REPLACEMENT, CROWN AGENCY
Executive Sponsor for enterprise line-of-business system implementation replacing legacy system and integrating a highly customized package solution with overall corporate environment. Managed solution supplier relationship and addressed supplier delivery challenges. Responsible for program management and integration of multiple sub-projects including business intelligence and analytics, data conversion, training, and change management. Reporting to CEO, providing direction and leadership to IT and business teams. Focal point for Board Reporting of project status.
PROGRAM MANAGER – LEGACY SYSTEM RISK REDUCTION, PUBLIC SECTOR CLIENT
Program Manager for a series of projects to stabilize a critical line-of-business system used produce a bi-weekly payroll for 45,000 employees in a public sector organization. The projects targeted improvements in cyber-security, system stability and management processes. Once stabilized, the focus shifted to preparation for new cloud-based systems and to the creation of a shared repository across multiple business areas using Microsoft Fabric.
ADVISORY BOARD – VIRTUAL CARE STARTUP
Advising CEO and leadership team on the use of AI in virtual care solution, identifying appropriate technologies and use cases and support business development initiatives. Using experience in healthcare, AI, and international solution marketing to help launch new company.
INDUSTRY MENTOR – VIATEC
Mentor to technology startups on Vancouver Island sharing experiences in strategy, product positioning, value proposition development and go-to market approaches.
SENIOR ADVISOR – US FEDERAL CLIENT
Provided consulting support for an Innovative Methods project including advising on the application of AI to provide
improved detection, validation and reporting of key business events. Identified sources of advanced technology for the team for application to the current and upcoming contract years.
